Growing Hope Farm is currently operating 65,000 cubic feet of growing space in three greenhouses, numerous raised garden beds, and a grove of fruit trees. With two harvest days each week, the yield at the farm is expected to top 10,000 packages of produce each month when full growing capacity is reached. Not only do these harvests provide an abundance of fresh fruits and vegetables, but they also assist individuals in obtaining agricultural job skills and gaining local employment through House of Hope’s workforce development program.
The Packing House
A packing house onsite will streamline the harvesting, washing, packaging, and distribution processes of farm harvests and locally gleaned produce, and an orchard is being planted to increase the regular supply of fruits and berries. The packing house, fully equipped with industrial and food-grade cleaning, weighing, packaging, and storage capabilities, will be available to local for-profit farms who can benefit from its proximity, paying for its use through barter or financial donations to House of Hope. This commercial networking will open the door for clients interested in employment within the local agricultural industry and will benefit all Martin County residents by reducing the costs incurred by the local farmers to get products to market.

Partners
The land for our Growing Hope Farm has been generously provided to House of Hope by the Dawson family, owners of the adjacent Palm City Farms Produce & Market. Special thanks to partnerships and grants from Cleveland Clinic Martin Health, Impact100 Martin, The Frances Langford Fund of The Community Foundation of Martin-St. Lucie, among other private donations, have made possible the expansion of the greenhouses and addition of the packing house and orchard.
Every aspect of the Farm, from seeding through harvesting, is made possible by the help of many volunteers who are dedicated to improving the lives of thousands of Martin County residents.

Adopt A Crop
You can help keep the gardens and farm producing fresh produce for House of Hope pantries by adopting a crop at our Growing Hope Farm or one of our five Nutrition Gardens. Each adoption supports the planting, maintenance, and harvesting of that crop for a full year. Options include adopting a full nutrition garden, half of a nutrition garden, an aeroponic tower at the Farm, a raised bed at the Farm, or a hydroponic row of plants at the Farm.
